WE went to the rugby at Newcastle last night to watch England beat Italy.
While waiting at Heworth Metro station a random Geordie lass exited the Metro system, walked straight over to us and gave us her 2 day-rover tickets to get us back into town.
Did we look poor or look like a person likely to illegally re-use tickets?
There was a queue of about 50 of us.I suspect it’s not actuall illegal, but I admit I don’t know the intricacies of the Railway bylaws. I regularly pass on parking tickets from pay and display, using the technique of “first person I see”. Perhaps that was her criteria?
