I first thought that you were smiling because of the rain (it made me smile this morning) then I thought that you must be smiling because the little darlings were off to school and out of the way.

WE went to the rugby at Newcastle last night to watch England beat Italy.
While waiting at Heworth Metro station a random Geordie lass exited the Metro system, walked straight over to us and gave us her 2 day-rover tickets to get us back into town.
Did we look poor or look like a person likely to illegally re-use tickets?

I suspect it’s not actuall illegal, but I admit I don’t know the intricacies of the Railway bylaws. I regularly pass on parking tickets from pay and display, using the technique of “first person I see”. Perhaps that was her criteria?

Young lad took a toad to school yesterday. Not deliberately , it fell out of his wellies when he went to put them on for playtime. Must’ve left them in the garden overnight.......again.?
