Top gear tribute to Colin Mcrae.

the man was a legend and the closest I had to a hero in my school days.
Absolutely. Met him quite a few times. Totally down to earth, but extremely talented sportsman who knew nothing other than total commitment to his sport. Would have won many more titles if he hadn't gone to Ford.
Mrs Bob good friends with his wife. Life has taken a real toll on her

We seem to have got a bale of silage that’s not as nice for whatever reason and all the suckler cows are looking at it refusing to eat it. So it will have to go to some ponies and get the cows some better stuff. Made me smile they are all stood a the yokes saying you can feck off if you think we are eating that. Spoilt cows :)

Parents evening- opens a window on the unreported world of primary one.

favourite part is the art folder and in particular the drawing entitled “you need to listen and pay attention even if you’re in a wheelchair with a hi-viz jacket on”

one can only imagine what the, presumably very specific, inspiration for that was. ?

Had the most racist lorry driver in tonight.

“normally f@£king foreigners doing this job”
“They’re everywhere”
Etc etc

went on for the duration of loading 25t with the pump truck.

as he pulled out of the yard I had a little smile at the irony of a long distance (continental) driver complaining about everywhere he goes being run by foreigners.........

would that not be the very definition of the job??

people that get aggressive and threatening on the internet, i once had a vegi animal rights type troll me on face ache, he was very aggressive and threatening, it was all about farming and country ways i was always polite but he wasn't, for the benefit of the story i will call him Sid ,let me just say i am a typical farm type six feet tall and my clothes say three xl, one day at a function my nephew who is a bit of a wag came over to me with this weedy little man five foot and a fag end waying in at six and a half stone, and said let me introduce you to each other Sid this is my uncle bumkin, so i shook his hand and said now then i believe you wanted to kick my head in and smash my knees with a hammer, would you like to go outside and have a go now ?,i let go of his hand and he ran outside i thought gosh he's keen but when i went outside he was nowhere to be found ;) so boys and girls when you get rude and angry just think you might get to meet each other :D

I drove through a very bad sandy road with the tractor and there where a few local youngsters with an old car, with the front ripped out and an engine and transmission lying in a ditch. Turns out they wrapped a chain around the block, other end on a tree and ran it in reverse, ripping the whole thing out.

Police chief being interviewed on local radio:
PC " We will have a large number of officers on the streets during the lockdown"
For riots, looting,civil unrest ?
PC "Where more than two people are gathered, our officers will stop to talk to them and tell them to disperse"
So be at least five people gathered including the police, all at 2m distance from each other ?
Interviewer " You have new laws to enforce this ?"
PC " Yes, where people do not disperse, they will be fined £30"
Interviewer " That's legal ?"
PC "That's the law as enabled by Parliament, er it's not actually legal as it's not in the legal system"
Interviewer "So will the people actually be fined ?"
PC "Yes, possibly"

Apparently it’s £60 reduced to £30 if paid in 14 days....

Need to declare a state of emergency and get the batons and shields out - now that gets scary.

Had that experience in 2000 during the fuel protests, one second laughing and joking with police and sharing the apples and pears I had picked that morning , then an alert to say a tanker was on its way ...... ooooosh
