It’s looks easy
Farming looks easy from the town side of the gate,
Some haven’t a clue how food even gets to the plate,
All that countryside that folks love to look out at and wonder, as they sit they never think or ponder,
How do them field get so green no weeds or bramble for mile on mile to be seen,
Wheat and barley patchworked into
Hedgerow and ditch,
Who’s fair hand did all this stitch,
Sheep in summer cut coat white as the winter stoat,
Cattle bottle shining shading under trees planted generations gone before,
Still lovingly tended for all to adore,
All this done by hard working farming families of that you can be sure.

In a recent online collective sale I sold my grandmothers old clothes mangle for £35.

It was taking up room in the corner on my workshop and basically forgotten about. Probably about 100 years old and I can remember using it as a kid to press Gran's sheets,

Chap came to collect it before Christmas and I thought nothing more about it until about 30mins ago.

He has just sent me the after pictures and said I could have it back for nothing given it's history.

Will surprise Mum with it in the new year and put £100 in the FCN's coffers.

Damned decent of him!
