Raked out my old sega megadrive (2) for the kids to play with. First outing for probably 25 years. Works like a dream.
turned it on for a quick shot of nostalgia myself at 20.30hrs, it’s now 22.10hrs, I’ve been playing “columns” for two and a half hours, got to level 150 and 8.8 million points. Got a sore head, bursting for a pee and can barely blink. Wife has taken over and has got to level 170 whilst I’ve had my shower
. She’s still going, I’m off to bed.
Cost me £115 (Berry picking money) in the early 90s, they sell now for about £100 for used condition in original box. That’s 60p depreciation per year. Quality.
Shame Sega didn’t make tractors.

So, it turns out that the points get to 9999999 and stop, and the last level is 199, no progression thereafter. No one would’ve believed this sort of thing at school back in the day.

I drove past the house where my old Granny used to live, had some happy times there.
It’s one of a pair of semi detached houses. Next door still have all their Christmas decs and lights up, all blazing away! Reindeer models, Santa, the full works!
