Things that waste your time

Solutions to those problems are simples... ;)
1 drop that customer, or give them a letter which explains terms of how you want to work, no agreement no business.
2 make your own coffee, even better buy a coffee machine, saves a lot of time.
3 do online lottery, makes better sense. Or even better why gamble at all? You could stop playing it and use the money towards somit else ;)

Being a bit cheeky here I think, but just some ideas :angelic:(y)

Not cheeky in the slightest! But to clarify;

1) Three of the customers in question spend around half a million a year with me each. Got to put up with some sh*t unfortunately.
2) I want a pint not a coffee!! I wish they would make their own - or go to a coffee shop rather than a pub.
3) I have bought one lottery ticket in my life, for a themed party held at a mates house that tied in with the first ever National Lottery. I didn't win anything and left it there.

The last time I made a bet was on the Gold Cup as my Step-Dad was staying at my house - to show you how often I gamble I asked to pay the betting tax up front with my stake and was told it had been abolished for decades as the girl behind the counter and the other punters within ear shot laughed their heads off at me!

And when you get your turn they pull blind down and say shut ?
A mate of mine had a " similar" experience a few years ago. He queued up for ages at The P.O. wanting to renew his T.V. licence. When his turn came he was told "Sorry The Post Office does not provide this service now" :facepalm:

Slow / poor payers has already been mentioned, but a particular bugbear for me with an added dimension;

Customer goes out of terms.
Account gets blocked from head office.
Customer needs urgent parts / materials and orders them. Is not informed that account on stop.
Goods they are expecting do not arrive on time causing crisis.
I chase customer, customer pays all outstanding on same-day transfer.
I chase Accounts to release (Germany or Switzerland). They have to get authorisation.
Customer screaming.
Days pass.
Account released.
Goods ship.

Customer forgets last month's experience and is late paying again.

Rinse and repeat.

Must take up 25% of my working life.
HQ/accounts should send you a list of all your accounts (or at least the key ones) that have gone on stop at the start of the month. Forewarned is forearmed!

No you got that wrong. You're more likely to get pulled as they will hear you coming over the silence of all the electric cars and know you are running diesel.
The schoolboys working for vosa won't even know what diesel sounds like, as they will have never heard one in the whole of their 12 years of life :D

thread seems to have taken a different turn from my origonal thought
So perhaps i should mention the time wasted in a chekout que whils the woman in front transfered money to her card so she could pay for £10 of rubbish.
Or in times long gone dancing with a bird all evening and then going home alone, but still more enjoyable than waiting for a rotaspreader to empty
