Things to keep in mind when hiring a computer repair expert

Everytime I’m trying to log in to my computer, it just keeps on restarting on its own. One of my cousins then told me to contact North East IT Support to check on it and do some repairs, as she used to hire this expert as well before for her business. But prior to doing that, what things should I take note of to ensure that I’ll be working with a reliable professional and that I won’t be charged unfairly?

If it was us we would recomend agreeing a fix price to assess the machine, if it is something simple it will probably be fixable within that price. If this issue is more complex they will probably quote an hourly rate, if they do agree a number of hours dont leave it open ended as you may end up with a huge bill a still need to buy a replacement machine. If the machine is old and you have your data backed up it may be worth considering replacing as hardware is much cheaper than man hours.

most safe mode options (depending on version) allow you to quite safely roll back to before an update/driver that could be causing your problems.
