thinking of buying New holland T7 190 or 210

I have a 15 plate new holland t7 185 range command not touched the tractor yet apart from servicing ,but needing a bigger tractor , wondering how do people get on with power command and auto command ? I went for the range because I thought It was less to go wrong are my asking for trouble If I go more high tech ? thanks

Had Power command in a T6090 with no issues at all, just ordered a T7.245 Power command. I tried an Auto Command Demo and didnt like it, felt flat as a pancake. But speaking to a contractor (an older chap) who was always Power Command on his fleet but had an Auto Command T7.230 and says he prefers it, he didnt like it to start with but reckoned it took him a while to get the best out of it, he also added that he wished he'd got the 245 instead of the 230 Horses for courses really I guess
Guessing if youre after a bigger one then you'll be on a long wheelbase T7 as opposed to your 185 which I think will be short wheelbase and quite a bit lighter.

As above, if you're looking for a bigger tractor, or more horsepower at least, then you'll be wanting to go for the T7.210 rather than the 190.

If you're not looking for technology or 50k, then a slightly more powerful version of your tractor would be the T7.215S Power command - still got the old style orange handle armrest, and no boost, just straight power. However if you're actually looking for a heavier and more powerful tractor then you're into the LWB T7s (T7.230 - T7.270).

We have two T7.190s and they have both been remapped to 210 power and torque. One is range command and one power command. The range command would seem to be slightly livlier as it wouldn't loose quite so much power through the transmission but i prefer the power command to drive. We used to have a Puma CVX, hated the gearbox but that is just a personal thing.

i 've spent 5 or 6 days driving autocommand gear boxes i dont like them either. we changed from t7 200 which was faultless to new t7 210 we had nothing but problems with it. it's a pile of crap

My 210 is the first power command I've had. I'd class it as superior in the field, but frustrating (and probably less efficient) on the road v RC. Never had a go in an AC, as that would end in trouble. Mine is just a classic spec, which is fine. Go for a 210 if at all possible, as that's a sweet spot for power:weight and resale.

haha fair question , my nickmanes welsh sheep farmers Yes but we have a other string to the business and It will do around 2000 hrs carting slurry / silage maize then around 500 on the sheep farm ahah

thanks for your opinion 👍

I run a Puma on the equivalent of range command and we're very happy with it. My contractor changed from a range command Puma to a Power command T7.210 and wished he hadn't purely because the gearbox saps a lot of power.

We have a 2016 T6080 range command and a 2018 T7040 auto command we are still on tier 3 here. I think the 6080 pulls our 3.2 meter discordan better even though it’s 20 plus horsepower less there seems to be less power loss however the auto command is much nicer to drive.

The T60 range is a decent tractor my 6090 has plenty of poke (remapped mind) for it's size/weight, I do wonder if that is where the T7's fall down as they're quite a bit heavier/bigger so maybe feel quite tame in comparison. Guess I will find out soon enough
