Lovely seeing the bulls getting shown and auctioned as love to see good Limmy's and such a shame that only one sold for all the work that went into it.

WELL DONE the BBC as for once part of my TV licence monies have been well used:)
I would have let the one go for £4500

I chatted to a couple of people who are not farming about the first episode. They both could not get over the importance of checking the balls on the bulls and the rams. They were quite shocked at the matter of fact way it was all discussed.
Then I realised that a friend had taken pics on her phone to show me of how swollen the vulvas were on her sheep which are not due for another 3 weeks, and we checked the photos and discussed it without a thought that it would be considered "rude". I just think that it shows how far most people are from the realities of life.

A good programme, showing the stress, the highs and lows of "proper" farming.
