There was something very similar in Practical Farm Ideas , big advantage is that the calf cant stand up and fall out as the floor is so slippery .

I did notice that two or three episodes ago but didnt mention it because it only create a hoohaa.

Just putting straw down the day before the TV crews arrive does not hide the state of the beasts themselves.

He's just away to put them out to grass.

We generally don't bed them on day there going outside. Somebody always seems to feed them though and end up clearing up foosty feed in summer!

I was trying to think, was it harvest 17 (when presumably the straw being used in the series was baled), that parts of Scotland and Fife in particular had really crappy harvest weather, and all the rest of the Country was finished?
