Ah Ostriches. Been there before with a “pyramid” type scheme in the ‘90’s selling breeding trios. I fail to understand how people could have been taken in by it.

If my memory is correct the MF 135 came in about in 1965.

I thought that, too. The colour, though. Wasn't there Old English sheepdog blood in the Collie a long way back?

He's well brought up, and has potential, by the way he engages with all the species he's among.

I seem to remember very glossy brochures being sent out, selling the story in a very convincing manner. They omitted to mention the ostriches’ propensity for committing suicide in large numbers, and the lack of a developed market for the meat.

I think the bitch that was scanned after the ewes had been served by two dogs (the owner really wanted pups from her because she wasn't easy to get in pup?), and the grey pup was from a different litter.

I'm really surprised about there being no market for the ostriches, when we visited an ostrich farm in Arizona in 1996 they told us that every part of the ostrich was fully utilised right down to chemical manufacture, even the toes and so on used for something.

Interestingly they had a llama which roamed the passageways between the pens, it was there to keep the coyotes away.
