Nothing else to expect but Joyce topping trade at Lairg.
That is a woman who puts so much more than her life and soul into her sheep,
She deserves the good prices for the quality of stock.
I liked the bit where you saw one person sat out in the wind and rain having thier tea!!!!
Big + 1

Plus being a great role model for women in ag and being passionate as an ambassador for hill farming

I thought the whethers made £65, the ewe lambs £58 and the breeding ewes £115, but could be wrong.
Great programme.
Ditto the Owen clan, with young Sid and Clemmy in the thick of it. I can't beleive they all help each other out so much, but with 9, perhaps that happens.
The first pen of wedders made £65,second pen of wedders £58,then the ewe lambs £115.

How come the young couple bought a new farm and never took on there grandads where the cattle were taken from? I had a lump in my throat when the grandad was sad.
Better than the pile of dross that is cuntryfile
Wasn’t too bad on Sunday, just watched it coz it was the Northumberland coast ( don’t normally bother ) and have been up here for a few days, fabulous place , walked around Lindisfarne yesterday. Heading home today though☹️

Iirc they have taken a tenancy on a fair lump of RSPB ground up in the Pennines.
Others may know more though
They run an rspb farm up near Shap, was a very good hill farm before rspb got it. Grandads farm is about 4 miles from here, tenanted. New place is rented off lowther. Friends parents used to farm it. Local people will remember Gerald who used to have hired lad at penrith auction. Nice farm used to be dairy and arable, but East Coast mainline literally outside back door, a6 at top of lonning and m6 through middle of farm

Wasn't there somebody, more recently, in the farm? Limited term partnership?
