This looks like many Spring Barley crops in our area.

Just looked at parklandventures.com News , and they have started swathing their spring barley . The crops they are swathing look just like many of those in our area, "VERY UNEVEN RIPENING."

So can people tell me please what are the advantages, and disadvantages of swathing spring barley? TIA.
