Chris Packham will be overjoyed something new has turned up to "Regulate our population".
Also there's some scaremongering going on, catching the virus isn't a problem for fit, healthy people.

So far 41 dead, whilst influenza has already sickened at least 13 million Americans this winter, hospitalizing 120,000 and killing 6,600, according to the CDC. And flu season hasn’t even peaked. In a bad year, the flu kills up to 61,000 Americans.

Initial investigation showed the Kung-flu had links to snakes and bats. The Wuhan market where it started sells such things for bat soup and snake blood (which is drunk) as well as other weird and wonderful stuff.

Strange lot but it takes all sorts to make the world go round I suppose.

Imagine the social media frenzy if it gets as bad as Spanish flu did.
Spanish flu wasn't actually flu according to some and it only got to be called Spanish flu because Spain was one of the few countries not embroiled in war at the time and had no need to cover up the devastating effects it was having on armies. Manipulating the public through the media is nothing new.
