I gave up with lincs show 3 years ago , its lost its rural appeal , not the show I used to enjoy .

Few like that now sadly .

I’m sad ‘the Highland’ wasn’t on this year, as I could have done with a decent ‘kick at the ball’ and the chance to tell Case UK that they’ve got a brass neck for charging their ridiculous (non gps) unlock fees. It’s always entertaining when you have to explain a few home truths to a manufacturer’s rep, another ‘sport’ that’s sadly been banned due to Covid ?

@JP1 Help!! A friend has put a video(slightly misty morning) of himself and I with my herd of Red's explaining about cattle on the Online Lincolnshire Show there is also other stuff including my cousin from Red Hen Nursery on another section. Just wondered if it could be put on here as a flavour of a typical county show? Some good Blues on the same section as me!!

I was shearing the last group of ewes at home then dosing all the lambs and pour on... when id normally have been couped in one of the beer tents.


Honestly I haven't missed the Highland show, but I am missing seeing my mates. I've not been out (socially, off the farm) since January 25th...

Thanks @JP1 If anyone has show withdrawal symptons its the best we can do. I do not think it is a bad effort really you can get to a lot of the little slots by playing around.

I missed the Highland this year - one of the very few years I have not been to it almost in my entire life. When I was young my father worked for Scottish Agricultural Industries and they had a stand beside the main ring where my mother and I could have tea and watch the events. Showed horses three times, with minor success - feeling nostalgic..
