Thistle advice

Hi there,

I will be ploughing and reseeding with grass 12 ha. However, there is currently a bit of a thistle problem and I don't want to increase it by just going ahead and ploughing. I just wanted to ask some advice on what you would do for the best:

a) Top thistles before flowering then plough
b) Top and weed wipe
c) Spray thistles first, top then plough
b) none of the above

I would just plough and get a good cover of soil .if any thistle appears in the reseed they will be easy to deal with

Spray with glyphosate then plough and sort the thistles next year with spraying if needed

Creeping thistle or spear thistles?

Top thistles then spray the regrowth with glyphosate without a doubt.

Spray the new ley in good time to get a nice thick ley with no bare patches.
