Over grazing in the winter, undergrazing in the summer, but just on a farming connect course and Charlie Morgan showed some photos of Bronwydd Mawr and the no P or K or lime grew thistles, P, K and lime no thistles

Got plenty of thistles in some fields here this year, despite that being ok.
Seem to get another flush every time the ground cracks in a dry time, letting light down to another load of seeds.:(

Can’t see why you can’t if there young, cut some End of last week and got some nice young thistles coming up again, will probably spray some on them end of this week. Did a patch last year in silage ground 2 weeks after cutting they seem to have gone this year
That's what I plan to do, what are you going to use?

Topped creeping thistle 4 weeks ago, weed wiped with pastor pro with 3 weeks regrowth, about 90% kill which is good for me, hoping those not bowled over are just taking their time to die.
