Anyone had any dealing with the firm of agents, Thompson Broadbent?

They've been send me letters for years offering to obtain a capitalisation of my wayleave from SSE for a single span of 11,000v powerline. The line just clips the corner of my garden and adjoining paddock. The supporting poles are in my neighbour's hedges, although I do have 1 stay intruding into the field.. One of their agents turned up today touting for business, they take 20%. I was rather dismissive and said that |I would think about it. He just spun on his heels and walked away.

If you change it from annual wayleave to a one off you'll lose any "rights" to terminate wayleave etc.

I've had somebody telling me to gouge Western Power, for a line rebuild just completed.
I "negotiated" a larger transformer, had a nuisance unrelated pole moved and replaced, and we got the farm supply undergrounded whilst they were here.
Have to say the people on the ground were a pleasure to work with, and I am happy to leave it at that.
I despise greed, and trust that there is a particularly fetid corner of Hell reserved for ambulance chasing lawyers and agents.
