thoughts on these non main brand disc harrows

We ended up buying a Knight c press , it’s a bit of a weapon , can run with tines out at 15 k and stays in ground or put tines in and stop 215 , it was under 6 k

I bought a Proforge Inverta Max this year, its 3m working but is nearer 12' overall, its very heavy to lift but pretty easy to pull, overall pretty pleased with it.

With these outfits they seam to do an impressive job on the stubble lays, anyone any photes of going over taller growth. We are organic and grow crops with good ground canapys to control weeds, but after combining and befor winter drilling we get major weed come through on the stubble, we would like a tool that we could go over the feilds with to chitter the weeds to encourage growth, and then go over three weeks later to chop them up, and maby repeat a few times befor winter drilling, currently just berry with the plough, but looking at options, any direct drillers on organics cereals about?

Mandam 3m harrow here we run on the worst of ground in west of Ireland from bog to stone and that is usually in the same field!! I bought the one on independent springs it was €400 dearer at time. Have broken few springs if I’m honest but had 3 years trouble free before any hassle I think it’s the fact we got a bigger tractor that wasn’t under pressure that caused the breakage but in good going it’s a dream to work and leaves a lovely seed bed

I am in the same position and looking to carry out the same operations. One of these short discs is on my shopping list as I think it could be the answer. We have tried a lemken cultivtor similar to the Pottinger Syncro and its not doing what we want, but I think the discs will

I'd be interested to see how this works out. I currently just scratch stubbles with an Einbock to make a stale seedbed, but it is limited in dry weather and against deeper rooted weeds, particularly docks.

I did have a contractor come with a CLC tine cultivator and do a shallow pass, but it seemed to encourage docks and charlock in particular.
