What's the TFF view on this??

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/othe...tting-on-dead-horse/ar-BB1e7im2?ocid=msedgntp

Seems to be getting quite a bit of media attention and calls for a lifetime ban from the sport.

I don't get why you would even put yourself in this position or even let someone take a photo of it and share on social media.

The good old "I sat on a dead horse while I answered a phone call" excuse seems a bit weak to me.

It's just more fuel to the fire for all vegan/animal groups.

I just wonder what the horse owner thinks of this. Paying 100s of pounds/euros a week to have it in training To me it looks tacky.

IIRC its about 1100 euro a month for this yard . . I know people who have the experience in the pain that is owning a racehorse.

Gordon has a fantastic yard and set up but yea a bit cheap and tacky.

This doesn't look good for the trainer. If he keeps his gob shut other than to apologise but does not engage with the bleeding hearts he'll be ok with just a tarnished reputation. The kind of people who own the horses he trains will see through this nonsense.
