Hi all,

As part of the ongoing Defra-funded Demonstration Test Catchment Project, three focus groups are being held to find out how farmers engage with some new policy notes that have been produced. It is vital that we hear from farmers to ensure that the notes are fit for purpose and useful to farmers!

You will be provided with a free supper to thank you for your time and there is usually time for farmer networking after the group too.

Here are the details for the 3 groups (1 x Devon, 2 x Dorset):

Monday 4th March: 19:00-21:00, Crossway Inn, near Okehampton EX20 3AH
Monday 11th March: 14:00-16:00, The New Inn, West Knighton, DT2 8PE
Monday 11th March: 19:00-21:00, Copplebridge Inn, Shaftesbury, SP7 9HR

If you are interested in coming along or if you would like further information, please get in touch:

Hi all, we only have 1-2 spaces left on the Okehampton group so please sign up quickly if you'd like to attend.

The two Dorset groups (West Knighton and Shaftesbury) still have a few spaces so please consider coming along; you'll be provided with plenty of food and there's usually the chance for farmer networking afterwards!

I got a another letter t'other day wanting my attention, from some upstream thinking project.
Sadly, one of the worthy bodies organising it are a local wildlife posse, with overt anti-farmer rhetoric.(the covert stuff is worse)
So, we won't be engaging with that group now.

It's a shame, as we're proud of our land management, and aware of our wider responsibilities...but I'm damned if I'm going to sit down with those eco-fascists.
(i think my main block of land receives something over 14 million tonnes of precipitation annually if thats of interest)
Just letting you know, should such matters overlap with your work.
