Threshed ryegrass

Does anyone have any experience of using threshed ryegrass? What sort of feed value would it have? would it be on par with feeding barley straw?

Better than straw if its well got . Nice stuff is as good as hay, if it gets weather on it and goes dirty not good then

We found it very similar too good barley straw.

Fed it to suckler cows last time straw was bloody dear. Added molasses too it at the feed barrier

I've got trashed hay here feeding to calves . Yiu would not know if from good hay
Like I said I've shifted hundreds if tons . Some only fit for burner some I could feed to racehorse. Its not a thing you can realy comment on without seeing it
