A good deal of sunshine in the south after any fog patches clear, Further north cloudy with some outbreaks of rain in Northern Ireland and southern Scotland. The rain may be heavy at times. Central and northern parts of Scotland will have showers and cooler weather overall, breezier too. Highs of 14C/57F

With High pressure over the south of the UK Friday starts a bit misty with fog patches in the morning in much of England, and Wales, this slowly lifting and clearing. Spots of drizzle may affect high ground in southern ares, most other places should remain dry with brighter spells coming through. rain in to western Scotland later with a breeze increasing here. Highs at 14C/57F.


Further outlook for weekend Turning colder:

Colder weather pushes south through all areas during Saturday and Sunday. Next week begins chilly but mostly dry, although turning more stormy with rain, progressively getting colder with wintry showers, night frosts
