As the subject says, is it pronunced as;

A) ti-the-barn (yorkshire accent)

or

B) tithe-barn (a surname I would presume)

or

C) something totally different.

Someone that hates being wrong has uttered towards one of the options above, I've a suspicion they're maybe wrong, just needed to check before I call them out and wind them up for a few days :D

Regards

Spot on folks, I will now wait for my chance to pounce, normally I would just quietly enjoy a mispronunciation or a malaprop but some people are just too much fun :D

How do they pronounce it?

We have/Had a restaurant around our way called Y Thai
My husband always pronounced it
Yer Thai
as in your local Thai restaurant

Tithe-barn, I never knew about the church connection though. My pronunciation is actually just luck due to my accent. My mates from Lancashire so no doubt that's played a part, still going to play on it for a while though :D

Used to be a guy from Aberdeenshire came up here every so often selling tithebarn minerals. A good lot of years now since I’ve seen any tithebarn stuff.

There was a local guy started working as a rep here a few years ago, not sure if he's still at it, he used to be at the mart now and then.
