Time for the next step against RT/NFU?

I have mentioned it before, but is it now time to start to up the pressure?
Get the troops together under 1 banner so to speak.

Under 3k will put a full page ad in farmers guardian.
Presume similar in FW.
Place an ad for farmers to join the new TFF Union.
Use go fund me to raise the cash for it.
Needs a couple of people we can trust to over see it.
Going public on forming a new farmers union will really shake the system.
Once we get more farming members than the nfu, we are then the voice of farming and the gov and industry have no excuse not to engage with us.

The time is now for this while RT and Co are on the back foot and things like elms needs sorting.

I always thought they had a reputation for being a pain in the arse rather than be a negotiating group.

lol guess so. Point being, if there's folks on here who want to belong to a 'negotiating' rather than 'pita' group, why not just join FFA and make it thus ? Constitution etc etc already there, far easier than starting a new organisation ?
(Being in the 'reform the NFU' camp, I only have a passing interest in this)

I doubt very much they would not print as long there is nothing libellous, I doubt they would risk a court case

Our local paper was always a mouthpiece for labour, but when we raised the cash, they ran a full page election ad for UKIP.

FFA doing much negotiation lately?
TTF already had members in a group talking to people in power, so why not expand on that.

Side note, why are you interested in trying to reform the nfu when all know it will never happen...

Because you can not be sure they will run the story.
Also you can pay for targeted emails to every farmer for less if wanted to go that way.
Option to get the message out includes Facebook boosting.

But we need to get the message out yo organise things like that.
That's why we need to have a group, everyone members so can organise things better for various actions.

If we don't get any sensible outcome, then I think people will do something, don't quite know what it will be.

Non-assured fortnight, rival RT scheme, etc. I think there are some determined people, who might have been underestimated.

Best of luck with that one, the markets require assurance of their products, you are not the only ones that have to meet the very stringent criteria and they are getting more stringent all the time. If you don't want to do it then fine, someone else will.
Your comment regarding Supermarkets needing you like never before is reminiscent of "They need us more than we need them". As above I wish you well and the best of British luck to you.
