Tipping trailer chassis thickness

Ill add,
what others have said about the satisfaction of building your own trailer i also get, seeing something you made yourself there's nothing better ill admit.
and on that line, why not use suitable channel and plate the open side of it with 8-10mm plate.
lot of trailers built that way and would be stronger than the box with the thicker flange.
I have done dump trailers like this before 230 x90 pfc and a 250 x10 flat welded to to make a box and we weld the channels on the inside as well before adding the flat makes a very strong chassis

I've 4 lengths of 300x100x10 galvanised about 18ft long, must have had it 20 years and still not got round to using it:sleep:

Good job it's galv or it would have rotted away by now:ROFLMAO:
