Yes, talk talk have shut down old " legacy" email addresses, mostly for companies that they have taken over. They sent out an email saying we could pay to keep it but sod that.
I pay for a .co.uk address web address which give you an email address which belongs to you and is available no matter who you use for Internet supplier. Doesn't cost the earth.
Can also have [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] whatever you want which makes managing different emails much easier.

Our tiscali email has stopped receiving.
Tiscali were taken over by talk talk. Are talk talk shutting down old addresses?

Going back to your original query.
I have a onetel email account which I stopped using about 10+ years ago .... but it still works! :scratchhead:
The last email I had, (well, there were three in the autumn last year) was from Talk Talk, who took over Onetel saying:-

Trouble is we will have to notify all the govt. agencies etc which is no easy job!
I have just left plusnet, after using their email address for the past 8 or so years
Really did not take long to change all the emails over to a generic address ( have actually registered a domain name, costs @ £3 a month, now have an email ending .co.uk)

I have 3 email accounts. Many more if I wanted to add addresses to the three providers and lots more to the BT account.
The ones I use are Apple Mail, Outlook Mail and Gmail. I read them all in the Apple Mail reader, although this is biassed against Microsoft Outlook and often requires me to enter my password for access. There is a way around this, but it is rather convoluted and since the account is my least used, I can't be bothered.

My old Tiscali email was discontinued many years ago. When the internet was through a dial-up modem. Used to have tons of spam daily back then. Very very seldom have any spam these days. Wish they could filter the scam phone callers as effectively.

You can access your tiscali emails through the Talk talk website. 👍Receive and send.
No charge.

At least you can switch to a new address at your leisure without fretting over whether your BPS might be held up because RPA were trying to notify you one of your fields is 0.000000001 ha overclaimed! 😂
