Title deeds

The title deeds of my land are not held with the bank as no mortgage.Does anybody know how I go about getting a copy of them. Its the map I need to check boundaries. I have all the documentation from 20 years ago from the solicitor I just dont have a map. Can I just request from the solicitor ? thanks

First stop will be the solicitor who did your side of transaction. They should - i believe- have to show what happened to deeds if they aren't holding.

Scottish land registry will have a map of what they think you own!
It's seems to have gotten to point it rules over title deeds!

We have been waiting 3 years for the Register to be updated on 1 acre bought from a neighbour

If your property is registered in the land register, anyone can buy a copy of the title for £3. Do a search pay the money and they email them moments latter. Www.ros.gov.uk

If it’s in the sassine I think it’s £20 and probably slower, but I have never tried.

very good old tup.Crofting law. You are a tenant with the right to buy. So I bought the family croft from the landlord 20 years ago. So there you go
