TM 150 2002

Some people say the grey chassis tms are more reliable than the newer black chassis models.
Black chassis one coincided with the merger with CaseIH iirc. which ended up with Basildon churning out a bit too much for Quality control to cope with. it was also at that point I'm told that the Gearbox synchros were cheapened and started to give bother.

From what I remember off here it was the 03 and 04 models which suffered with the synchro problems. 07 onwards will have the later push our hitch and 08ish the better brakes with front axle brakes on the 155

We will be doing a bit of ploughing with it, probably hundred acre per year roughly. It has a few broken manifold bolts but that is it for the bad bits really. It is the 2002 with grey chassis. Hopefully the synchro issue won't affect this machine. It's on 580 rear tyres with 35% left. Should do us a few years

if it's in good nick and you keep it well minded it will be a cracking tractor to own and operate. The engines are cracking, the gearbox is great to use, the hydraulic lift is very impressive for this size of tractor and the cab ergonomics are spot on with everything falling to hand and in a logical fashion.

We have a 2001 TM150 9000hrs
With brand bew 600 tyres she looks as good as our 08 T6070
I drive the Tm over the 6070 all time
Proper engine with plenty power

Hopefully we may pick it up this weekend, will get some pictures uploaded then. We also run a fendt 716 which is chipped to 185hp but that has been bullet proof and done 7300 hours and is still hassle free. It will have to be good to live up to that machine. Be more user friendly though than the fendt which is why we went for this tractor

Hi folks,
Yeah the tm is still going strong. We have had a lot of new bits for it but it’s wear and tear items other than one thing when we did the synchros in the back end. We did the head on it as a precaution, new dromone hitch and general bits like alternator an air con pump. She came with 9000hrs on and now has 14500 on and still does all the raking, tedding, some mowing, all the drilling 300 acre on a combi. She still starts as good as the day it came. Highly recommend a tm 150, far better than the 155 when case joined the NH scene.

Build quality was terrible like the early tm 155 up to about 2005 wasn’t the best. Friend had a 2003 tm155 and nearly every month it would get more oil leaks/ it kept blowing a pipe off so we had a steel pipe made to cure it and it still leaked. Back end would get really hot and gearbox was always jerky even when calibrated at correct temp. It was like the pump was over pressuring the system but when checked it was correct so it got sold for a t7.210 which is better but it s still not a tm 150

Our local case dealer was horrified at how badly assembled the tractors from Basildon were. The PDI was taking days rather than hours as before, oil leaks, water leaks, electric faults etc

@agrotron keep the gearbox calibrated if you get it nice and warm one day when you have a few min spare. I have a few hour on it each year and do a few oil leaks on it what’s easy to do. The only leak at the min is on the hydraulic pump but that looks a big job to sort so I’ve just left it alone. The pump comes off easy but the seal kit is extortionate money so I’ve not bothered.
