Tm range command

Got a TM here with the range command gearbox, just turned 6000hrs and the last few mornings has had trouble engaging forward and reverse on the shuttle.
When shuttle is pushed forward/backwards it just flashes all the range gear lights and display flashes N. It could start working after 2 attempts or 30.
Any ideas?

Mine did similar but luckily cured with a gearbox calibration, so worth trying that first. I'll add though that this was just after I had the gearbox controller unplugged which must have confused it

We had to change the shuttle lever on ours at about 9000hrs. Would jump out of drive and difficult to get it engaged sometimes.

Could it possibly be a flat battery - just good enough to start the engine, but voltage a bit low for the gearbox?
I had a similar problem with mine - put it on charge for a while and all ok

The battery is getting a bit lazy this cold weather and probably on its way out.

Using it since I first posted and everything ok. It was going about an hr ago and now ive tried to start it and nothing.
Turn the key and everything lights up as it should but just wont turn over, not even a click, put jump lead on, battery showing 13+volts and still nothing.
I did notice when I turn the key two clicks the gear selector lights flash very dim before counting through the gear as normal, which i dont think it used to- bad earth? Any ideas?

Bad earth sounds good for starters.

Got it sorted. Back home for a light and some spanners and had to break the paint on the nut that holds the plastic cover over the starter terminals. Found the positive lead onto the starter was slack.

While you’re there carefully check or just cut off and replace both the eylets for the fusebox supply/alternator feed. They get hot and dirty and create resistance.
