So i abandoned idea of a claas and i bought a tm 140 instead. It looks tidy and so far so good. Runs drill very well. But... i was messing around and i made a bollix of something and now the speedo is wrong. Its all over the place. And i have no manual. Has anyone any idea of how to recalibrate the forward speed?

Thanks

Tom

I found the answer. my TM has a radar on it, so instead of typing in tyre circumferences I pushed the forward spped button on the dash for 3 seconds until i can input number, inputed 4810 and then exited it somehow where it stored the code and that was it. working 100% now. thanks

Why?
Transmission speed sensor and radar in combination will calculate wheelslip.
If you have a radar then that takes full control and you enter a speed constant of 4019, and it doesn't give a hoot what size wheels it's got!
Dont ever remember re-setting mine since new, but does it not want to know what is "normal" so when the transmission runs faster it can then show it as slip? On a 30 series TW you pressed the slip button while diving on concrete for about 30 secs so it knew what no slip "looked" like.

That is one of the reasons you calibrate the EMU. So it knows 100m, no slip and steering angle. Radar always controls the dashboard speed readings when fitted. The same with the acre meter, your workrate/area doesn't increase by 10 % just because you have had 10% wheelslip in work.

Thats what I thought, just assumed entering a figure for wheel size was the way.

Cal number for radar equipped tractors is 4018.

There was a massive argument on here a while back with a certain DB enthusiast having great difficulty understanding how other tractors can have something so modern on them.
However from reading the op manual it says wheelslip calibration is done automatically. Although if you want you can follow a sequence in the book to do a manual cal.

If anyone wants I will screen shot and post the relevant pages.

For speedos that are giving wildly false readings always start by cleaning the rear unit. Mud on the working surface can affect operation of them.

Side light fuses? Side light triggers the relays for all the worklamps. The two 20amp worklamp fuses that feed 4 lamps each overheat the connections behind the fuse in the panel aswell and will need cutting out, splitting up and fitted with 4 x 10 or 15 amp fuses.
