Hi I’m thinking of putting two mowers on an Arian 610 (150hp) would I need a conditioner as I think I might be under powered . I usually ted grsss straight after I is cut . All grass for silage only
Advice would be appreciated 👍

Would have thought a 610 would be a bit light and underpowered. Are they not more like 135hp standard with about 145 on boost, or has she been mapped.
610 and 620 have smaller front and rear axles than the bigger models as well, but should probably be ok for the weight On flatish ground

Depends what times are on the conditioner, we have a Kuhn on the front with plastic tines and had a claas on the back with metal tines quite a differential in initial drying but after a couple of days couldnt see the difference, the class was a killer in laid grass as the conditioner would grab the grass before it was cut.
Hot a malone last year as the claas died from a bed bearing failure it's a plain mower and dont see any difference in drying compared to the kuhn after a da, I dont think the extra fuel and initial cost justify conditioners now for hay/ haulage at least

No plenty of people running doubles with conditioners on 150hp with no issues. Will be steady in a thick crop but better than racing around with one mower and a lot more efficient than going back over to ted it. Have a spread kit on mine so can spread it full width or in a narrow row.
