Weve still got some to put in, they'll still come just the bulbs will be small

This^
It all depends on the weather over the next few months. What I put in a fortnight ago has emerged but doing very little as it's so dry here just now. A wet week would make a hell of a difference to them, but otherwise they'll be little further ahead than what is sown now.

Slugs see to be happy in the dry though. Put third lot of pellets on last night, and still they are chomping. Slow growth means the turnips aren't growing away from them yet.

You'd be surprised . The roots are developing away beneath i bet. They will go when it rains and cold winters are a thing of the past aren't they

That was last week a week is a very long time once you get into September.

As a seed salesman, it would be irresponsible of me to say 'yes, no problem you go ahead' and when it does and it all goes pear shape who's going to get the blame?

If the OP decides to sow ST then it's on him and no one else.

I can't see where he will get certified seed from at this late date, re-cleaned maybe but then that's a whole new ball game on top of late sowing.
Only teasing😉

I’d carry on at that seed rate
Depends on variety as some are 60/40
IE 60% top 40% bulb
Also sowing late like this week I usually mix some fodder rape in as well I find it does make a big difference.
(And costs little)
