Oh it’s dry ground for sure it’s like the Sahara desert looks like it’s been silaged yesterday and it’s not had sheep on it for a few weeks now … sort of ground you can drive round in 2wd all winter not a care in the world
I'm doing a lot of rough ground now, just chucking some cheap ryegras on for now , , run over twice with a Rotorspike first

My suggestion for what it’s worth, chicory chicory an more chicory😂 throw some grass in an bobs your uncle, you’ll have much grub you won’t know what to eat it off with!! We are blow away sand here, burn off with ten days dry weather, been planting it for twenty years and have very good results on our very poor ground, either drilled into burnt off pasture or stitched in to growing bare pasture! Drilled some into failed turnip crop this time last year and fed 200 plus ewes from November to February behind electric, took them off until April an grazed it all summer on an off!!

How much is the seed worth?! Got 50 acres off stubble just combined today free until Maize time. Sounds like I could follow your plan.
where do you get the seed from?
Thanks

very suprising, as on dry ground, rape drilled 2 sept, up this morning, volunteer barley 3 ins, didn't think they would show, until we had rain, which, according to the lying w/forecasters, we should have had.
