This could have been a lot worse , I was just minding my own business looking at some wheat when a ditch jumped out on me . My lads found it very amusing having to come and pull me out .

Old david brown 1210 has dropped a valve milling, 15 billion hours on the clock and I think she's had enough.
Its been towed to the back field and left there for now until I decide what to do with her, poor old lass.
Can't imagine the farm without a brown so iv got a 990 in the pipeline.

An hour with the impact gun would have the head, sump and piston out of that one. No balancer, nothing on top of engine

Thought I would just pop along before dark to save feeding them tomorrow. Went to reverse and the back door had gone.

Didn't want clouted by a door flying about so luckily had a strap behind the seat

Reeled her in and got it anchored

Free again.
That cow has more lives than a cat as first calving took 4 weeks to recover from a difficult calving. Had 5 since then

Guess you didn't watch this video
Tanco comes away from trailer with half of net and wrap missing 3rd one leaves some net wrap in ring feeder 4th video cuts off before he's backed away so don't know what happens there.
I did actually but the keltic whilst good for filling a diet feeder looks a godawfull numb thing for lifting straw bales out of the barn and other jobs around the farm having that fixed top arm hanging well above the tines. Heavy as well for my little Kramer.

Yes I suppose it depends on what you want anything that cuts down wards isn't going to be ideal for dropping straight into a diet feeder but the Keltec is very bulky don't know if you'd get used to it. If your want to shift straw bales aswell without changing attachment what does the tanco have regards attaching a bucket?

I just thought when you go into our straw barn with the tanco, it can be semi closed so as not to catch the roof. Since my original post we have had a lot more success in dropping the bales in the feeder, it’s just a bit of a knack to it. You need to get high enough so as the plastic doesn’t catch the auger when it drops and get a lot of the bale within the machine so the flap that drops down is not so long. If we need a bucket we just drop it off but our bin has an auger into the feeder so that’s not very often.

Yes assume your Kramer is telescopic I only have a loader tractor so height would be a issue for me

Yep I can get 5 or 6 foot above the feeder which is the secret. Interestingly the tanco guy was all for splitting them on the ground then loading the bale but it’s a messy way to do it.

What a faff they all look. Far less time, less wheeling around and less mess with a pocket knife and a standard set of forks.
