Today’s Disaster

Mrs Fred wanted the facias and gutters replaces round the stables, so spent the weekend doing it, had the usual farm bucket filled with 2 billion screws, nails, rawlplugs, etc which I hastily dumped on the front seat of the Disco in the dark to come home. "Want a cup of tea before we go?" says she. 'I'll get my mug out of the Disco....' So the bucket fell out as I opened the door and scattered all the contents in the crud. :( Have to go back with the C Scope to make sure we found them all.
Similar story. I have a large wooden box which I have carefully measured and subdivided with battens to provide several compartments for all my woodscrews, according to size. 3-5000 screws maybe. Sits under the workbench as a drawer. Pulled it out the other day and the drawer stop failed so it came right out and deposited everything on the floor. That's my 'evening project' for a few days/weeks.

Had the same here mot in middle of October and burst a front brake pipe last week, and the rears look to be made solely of rust
There must be a theme here, old Hilux, picked it up from the garage after the test, half way home and the pedals gone to the floor, got home on the handbrake.
Brake pipe to the rear goes over the fuel tank, all the wet crap deposited on the top of the tank had rusted the pipe, poor design really because all the visible pipework was in excellent condition.

Scraping the cows out on Saturday and twatted the bottom half of the Merlo door off it’s hinges and neatly into my leg. Wasn’t ideal....however tonight gets better as I was looking out the front to the scraper (on a 3 point adapter) and twatted my head of the same f**king stantion that took the door and then in turn as I swerved with the pain took the top half of the glass with me 🙄🤣🤣🤣🤣

Not some of my finest work as I pride myself in having as few accidents as possible. Head hurts real badly right but can 100% without doubt tell you my wallet will be hurting in the morning when I ring and order a new door for it. Don’t think insurance cover ‘twit’ damage 😂

Won’t name and shame but someone I know (not me) hooked the Ifor flatbed trailer on to go get some mixed agg and cement to do some concreting, pulled into builders yard, asked the chap for 1.5t of stone In the trailer please only to be asked “what trailer?”

hadn’t latched the trailer on properly had he! bloody thing was in the middle of our yard 7 miles away complete with broken brake away cable, still not sure how he managed it!

Running through customers house today from outside through patio doors to upstairs, came back down and out through the doors at speed, he'd only gone and shut them :banghead: now nursing a stiff neck, and 3 puncture wounds inside my mouth where teeth tried to get through 🤬 on the plus side, the doors survived and he had a good laugh once he'd helped me off the floor.

Did you do it on purpose? Cause sounds like a accident to me and insurance is for accidents
