By sheeted do you mean born in the bag? Excuse my ignorance I've never heard that expression before. If that's what you do mean that's a barsteward when it happens I've had it with lambs walked I. The shed moments too late...

Shouldn't like your post but good effort for vaulting over the barrier! It's abit like something will happen when your having a cuppa tea and you come out the house and discover your tea has just cost you X number of £ :banghead::banghead:

One of my fears is suckler cows turning as I'm mainly on my own like most other folks and there's no phone signal round our yard it's ok HSE preaching keep your phone but only if the blasted thing works in a crisis.

29 of the longest minutes of my life..
Lying paralysed in a ditch , willing the feckin 'signal' symbol to put up one bar.....

I made 40 odd sodding futile attempts at phonecalls before it popped up.

Real life dramas are somewhat different than in Hse la la land.

thank goodness it did pop up else who knows how long you'd of laid there. The other thing I've found is after we had kids it was like I could suddenly "see" danger things seamed to become more obvious some how and it made me think twice about some things I would of rushed into. but accidents still happen. Was it air ambulance job when they got you out?

Nope , it'd gone dark.
I had resigned myself to having a long night under the stars( it was warm enough, middle of summer)
Bloody ambulance took 53 minutes to get to me, 7 calls into em, despite A&E hospital being 3 miles away, and ambulance station 4 miles t'other direction.
Being on Lancs/Merseyside border we 'got lost' in the gap.

To be fair, once they did turn up, there were four paramedic response units,
water extraction team,
all terrain extraction unit....
Doctor in frogman gear.....

Kids definitely change your perspective on life,
as does a stay in ITU. .
