Is it a council run site? Is that mountain of crushed part of the same place?

Private, yep it's about 15 acres I think, they basically take in all sorts of sh!t sort it all out then try and sell it for more than it cost them to sort out.

The grab diggers sit on piles of rubbish pulling out bit of wood and metal out of mixed rubbish etc, amazing how precise they are with such clumsy machines. Literally picking up single house bricks.

Second robot now in place

Hopefully robots are going to be operational this week. It's been a difficult job working around cows being in 24/7 and keeping parlour operational at same time. They've had to milk down one side for last 2 weeks but that only put 45 minutes onto milking time
The worst part of job is knowing that customer has terminal cancer and only a matter of weeks left. He's done this all for his 23 year old son to carry on I think the challenge of getting this all done has kept him going

Today "at work"
1496046592707.jpg
Tiki tour to the beach after taking Mrs B an extra coffee to work -froze overnight and then soupy fog, and she is sick, and I'm a love
1496046685778.jpg
collected some kelp for a brew up
1496046716625.jpg
hosed the sand off
1496046757251.jpg
shifted the runts to a new paddock, after cutting the tops off 4 more drums for brew barrels. Cooked some tea and now making a kelp chopper upper out of a surplus mower
1496046853651.jpg
1496046862020.jpg
so I can chop it all up a little faster this round.

"kelp chopper upper out of an old mower" please explain?
@Kiwi Pete
The last brew I made was pretty chunky because I basically had to hang it up and butcher it over my drums.
This old mower is a bodge of a throwaway frame and a good engine and a carby set up with a bobby pin throttle.
I spaced the blade down a little as it was way too high.
And lopped a bit out of the side and found a piece of ply to go under it.
I'll strop it down onto a pallet nice and firm and then mince up the kelp over the next few days: half fill the drums and cover with water. Watch this space!

That's very sad to hear-very nice chap. Summered his heifers next door to us about 10 years ago.
