Today I have been washing and mincing kelp. 2 drums half full but my sister showed up so that was a good excuse to knock off. It actually works pretty well, had a few wrap-ups and stalled it a few times but miles quicker and better than cutting it up with a knife!

That's the idea.

Three weeks ago it was looking like the trial wouldn't go ahead as the field was so short of moisture but now conditions are ideal.

It'll certainly be interesting.

Actually, not much! A fair bit ended up on the deck, and plastered itself all over the mower, plus I had to set up a green drum right under the front of the mower as per photo.. but about 95% went in the drum.
An effective bodge, next time I'll have a much better idea of what kelp to collect and have a bigger piece of ply underneath, and will refine the chute a little.
You'll be able to see the bubbling brew in a month all going well I already have a big heap of nettles wilting to go in.
It should take until about August to be ready to spray on, if weather permits.

Had fun freeing up adjuster bolts on trailer brake rams, first three came with heat. Last one moved half a turn with heat then sheared off, drilled it to weaken it, tried to turn it with mole grips moved abit, sheared off again. Drilled it out carefully then managed to cut the old threads out using a tap.

This one didnt.....but weve had a few that have [emoji21]. I figured chinese plasma was same price as a years rental on oxy and accet bottles. And its done a bit already [emoji18]
