Yup, one good afternoon will do it now, but could do with some sun as quite flat in places and green starting to grow through.

Just leaves the straw. Some might of round baled today, but didn't have a baler booked as was supposed to rain at 4 and didn't arrive till 7.

Latest we cut in the past was first week in October and the combine had to be assisted to get round.
Lads would be reluctant to go cutting now its so wet, if they didn't know the ground.
You could be there for a while .........

I've cut late sown barley that went in after grass in late October and it came off a dream, didn't get the straw till February though. All depends what the weather does. Same year I cut 40 acre for a neighbour after the contractor parked up and wouldn't come back. I never got stuck, but was not what I call fun. Bet there was some soil in the straw as the field was full of ruts.
But it is heavy land where this guy that called yesterday, so think I'll be going on a reconnaissance mission first.

I hope so , things are mess on the grain harvest up here
Luckily I've finished my own and I'm just cutting for other people, but looking at some spring barley that's still out round here it's not looking good for a lot of people! :(
Not to mention trying to get stuff sown, we've written of re-seeding some grass land we have! Looking like it's going to be wheat now if it drys up enough.

It says straw rake on the side not UXB finder.
Spent my day staring at exactly the same machine as you out of my back window, till it started raining half an hour ago :( was just starting to dry nicely as well!! :arghh: Are the tines on your rake relatively new? Having quite a few snap on mine but most are original tines from when it was new in 2013 (we bought it 2nd hand in 2016) and are about worn out i think. Head that newer tines are supposedly better?
