Yesterday, went to mow for a man, but he stopped me thought it too wet, a good call I thought but with hindsight should have kept going...

Trent valley. Winter quays said they been struggling with wet
The dry spell ended on the 2nd of September here but being a one man band here harvest and sowing of osr takes priority in August and to be fair the rape in that field was cut in early august and it was bloody wet underfoot then

Last of our fields to drill this year. Bit of an after thought of taking out some pasture that we replaced elsewhere. This field can get a bit wet. So planted with Barley as the tramlines won't get hammered so much as it would with Wheat thanks to 3-4 less passes.
Ploughed yesterday

Job done just before Friday the 13th!
Dare I spray it tomorrow or will it put a jinx on the field?

Did spray the last field today.
Had my Friday the 13th experience!!!
The field might not have been jinxed. But the bledy tractor was!!

Had to get through another pasture field full of cows to get to the field I drilled yesterday. Unlocked the gate, drove through it, but forgot to shut the Fastrac door. Went through a rut, causing the boom holder to rock, crashing into the top of the door and bang goes the glass!

Fecking stupid of JCB to allow the glass to protrude beyond the metal door frame on the last of the 2000 series Fastracs. An accident waiting to happen with any demount sprayer.

Snap! Brother did same with ours in summer. Interesting spraying with no door. Put seat belt on felt like I was going to fall out crossing slopes.
