We where wonder why in @holwellcourtfarm post number #83216 there was a single and a 3ph generator input into the distribution board. :scratchhead:
TBH I'm not sure! When the sparks was sorting out the quote for the insurers we discussed the setup. I said I'd like to be able to run the place from a generator in future when we have power cuts (typically get 1 every few years lasting a few days).

That's what he installed

The system is from Schneider, supposed to be quality kit. I'll just look out for a pto driven 3 phase 50+ amp and connect it as @Phil P posted.

This week I decided (following a trailer brake refurb posted in another thread) that it was time I did something about the broken brake cable on our Ifor Williams LM146. When the first drum came off it became a full refurb

Very rusty backplate, bottom shoe de-laminated, adjuster seized.....

A friend with all the toys agreed to shotblast and powder coat the backplates for us, I freed and cleaned the adjusters and fitted a full new shoe and spring kit, 4 new cables and a new breakaway safety cable. £200 well spent (y)
