A bit snowy this morningView attachment 623198
Took pity on the sheep and brought them inside
Amazing how easy they move when they know what a bucket is

Apparently this isn't a bodge. New storage area above workshop gets a bit closer.

Usually go the airport on a Friday but the CAA (civil aviation authoritie) are in this week which means getting through security with anything more than a wristwatch is a nightmare . They usually make me empty everything out the pickup which is a good hour of a job!So I decided to go on Monday instead and do some more on the sprayer today.
Anyway walked in the workshop put the lights on and was met with a dilemma:oops: the parts of the chassis I painted yesterday made the bits I hadn’t look really dull:(, it was bugging me so got the flatting block out then give the whole lot a couple more coats.

Much happier with the results (y), hopefully the cab will t-cut as there’s no rust at all on that.
Then carried on with the booms, got the first set of new pins and bushes in and it’s much improved.

Took all the shims out and it’s sitting perfectly

The boom should hover above these guides when it’s set right as in the pic

This is the other side I’ve not done yet and it’s full of shims as well.

Then did the back pin and bushes

Then start on the other side, saved the best side till last! This side has had some “repairs” in the past which have been really bugging me for the past 4 years

It’s never just sat right, hence all the shims in the previous pic so I decided to have a fresh start. But I’ll save them pics for tomorrow as that’s my limit for this post.

Job out this morning, 6420s with a couple of issues.
Bit of an intermittent running fault was first on the list. Replaced the perished fuel hoses

Wish I had a fiver for every tractor I’ve found with the o-ring missing off the fuel filter water trap!

That’s better :)

Second job was the blowers had stopped.
Both motors had burnt out so two new ones went in.

Back to the yard then and you can probably guess what the job was.

That right folks more work on the sprayer, I’ve finished work on the chassis (apart from servicing the engine) so gave it a like of paint to tidy up the scabby bits.

Then started on the booms.

Was going good till I found a crack that someone had previously tried to fix:(

Had a fresh start with it.

That should hold it hopefully.

Please let me know if your sick of pics of the sprayer :ROFLMAO:

Ps glad I didn’t go to Lamma today

I'll admit to the embarrassment of calling a mechanic to a rough running issue that turned out to be the absence of said O ring, made worse by two of the ones that come on the bottom of the filter being on the thread. I'd assumed they did the sealing and were supposed to be there:oops:. Also I dashed out for a fire call whilst he was here and had to ring the poor lad to go in the house and turn the oven off.
