Anything serious to look out for apart from Rodent disposal ?

You need to do the risk assessment stuff for rodent poison use and to show you aren't routinely baiting.

If u uses trailers for taking grain off farm write your assurance number on the sides and back

I don't have on farm storage so don't know if out new in there

I am sure there was something about a farm map as well

I'll admit to the embarrassment of calling a mechanic to a rough running issue that turned out to be the absence of said O ring, made worse by two of the ones that come on the bottom of the filter being on the thread. I'd assumed they did the sealing and were supposed to be there:oops:. Also I dashed out for a fire call whilst he was here and had to ring the poor lad to go in the house and turn the oven off.
They need to put a picture on the filter box of how to put the bowl on:ROFLMAO:

Don't cart into a store off farm, so ok on that one :) do temp store on farm though

The farm map I have on pdf, so thats ok, easy to move that into the prepared file (y)

I've run out of bait, and all the tubes on the bait stations are empty, so that sorts the routine baiting  :sneaky: (y)

Yes I got the impression from the way he went straight to the right size in his O ring selection box I wasn't the first... Apparently it's common for the O ring to stick to the filter and be accidentally discarded, and also the little seals to stick to the new filter. In personal defence, the first time I did my own servicing after the dealer's mechanic, there was already one in there.

Most of the fuel filters I change have the. o-ring missing and the little rubber seal stuck in the glass bowl sometimes two:rolleyes:. A lot o people don’t realise that the pump sucks fuel through that first filter (common rail only) so if the o-ring is missing it pulls air into the system, it doesn’t tend to leak fuel out so goes un notesed. It’s the first thing I check when there’s an engine running fault. (y)

Sometimes a little bit of knowledge is worse than none.
You also learn from mistakes.
Practice makes perfect

The worse job for me is removing plastic trims ,electrics, and jobs where you can only reach by a finger tip not being able to see.
Getting something off then into bits on the bench is a god send.
You really need to grab yourself a cheap video borescope to let you see what's out of reach then. Mine rarely gets used but, when it does, it pays for itself hands down.

We just had some bait in store but still failed as I hadn't done the risk assessment etc.

I did have all the bait records. I had to do a risk assessment basically saying I was doing nothing and then send it in
