and then rolled them in.

This lad rolled in this morning, had to meet him in the car park off the main road. Too tight about the farm for machines that size. He was away to Stornaway next.
image.jpeg
got a self drive hire of the merlo to unload the metal worker ...
image.jpeg
at 2.5 ton I thought it'd push the Nash 474 to its limits...
image.jpeg
Then it was into the old dump trailer for the last few miles.. Bit rough the track.. So threw a couple straps round it
image.jpeg
the punch/shear was in the wrong place,
image.jpeg
so moved it round to the other side of the shed... Slowly..
image.jpeg
Just got it in without needing to take bits off:rolleyes:
image.jpeg
a wee nudge and it rolled in.
image.jpeg
off it came..

and in it went(y)

View attachment 662280 Phone call today from a neighbour who said he’d got his tractor stuck. Went down to pull him out and found he actually had got his gator stuck so tried to pull it out with his one tractor which in turn got stuck and then he went with his second tractor and got that stuck. I had one go at pulling him out and got stuck but skidded my way out. Said I’d go back tomorrow with a digger to try and pull him out. Just had a phone call to say there are now two 180hp tractors stuck as well.

Wasn't it Einstein who said the definition of stupidity is to keep doing the same thing, but expect different results?

What do you mean... It's not bleak up here(n)

Rips through 3mm without a second thought, absolutely flies through 1.2
:nailbiting: I'm too scared to try 6mm... Not till he sends the manuals for it so I know how to set it up properly.

Very good. Keep that back window shut though, you're making me nervous:D:nailbiting:

Back before anyone was smart enough to blow pipes out with a compressor the worst bit was finding you had to undo a coupling with pressure on at the bottom of a dip and you'd left your hi tech bit of rope at the yard:poop::meh::inpain:

I wonder how many coupling where ran over/crushed driving down the pipe to push out the sh!t in the dark or just a sleep lol
If you just caught the tail you wouldnt know untill pumping again and it would block up ralmfao
These lads know have it easy back in the mid 90's we where running blind
I tryd to finish near a stream to pump water throo back to pit or get a tanker of water in yard to flush pipes out with water so not to get covered in sh!t
We pumped a lot of up and down hills so it always had parts still full and when double pumping we took water to middle pump and pumped half back to pit and half to spreader
Those we the days pumping 16-18hrs a day or not stoping if it waz freezing glad i sold up when systems came cheap and every body got em and started a price war same old story

I hear ya(y)
If you got a coupling with loads of pressure put the rope on, tie it to the front of the tractor, put wipers on and reverse:D Remembering to watch where the rubber o ring went.
Used to get chucked on it because it was the crap job but once you get the hang of it its a good number.
Then everyone started doing it but hated moving fields so they'd chuck everything on one or two fields and have run off everywhere, undercut you and basically screw it up for everyone.
The last guy I worked for it was pretty much all we did 12 months of the year. :wacky:
