Had to move a pasture pump to somewhere where there really is some water.

Even if it is a bit scummy.

Too dangerous to walk the wheat now - I have done a risk assessment.

I haven't measured the depth of those cracks but a piece of wheat, ear and all went down vertically well below ground level.

Not the best of pics but there is a fire engine on the road going to a woodland fire @ 3 miles down the road.
Hydrant is at the end of our road, been carting water down all afternoon

Will be in the barley sometime this week, so will find out
But grass is dead, seriously running short on outside forage, not really got enough for over the winter yet so don`t want to start feeding yet

Finished barley yesterday, started OSR but too dry so had an early finish. 5am start to get some 'wetter' OSR, UP TO 7.5%!!

It looked good coming out of winter as it drains so well, but hasn't improved in the last month.
The ONLY brightside is that I haven't sold any forward.
This is soil in same place 3 years ago. Yellow sand on sandstone.
