View attachment 703532 View attachment 703536 View attachment 703540 I got radical today and housed my cattle .
Plan is to give the grass or what should be grass, a proper break . It actually rained today, so put some fertiliser on, and hopefully they will go back out soon to a decent bite.
Been feeding them out inring feeders, but they seem to scuff up all the grass around them and mess up the field , despite many moves. I also get the wheels on the manitou covered in muck, just when I need to load wheat. See what happens!

Are they all blue x?

What ever you have been doing they are good looking cattle (y)

Bearing on top roller packed in this week, the one the back door hinges on [emoji37] grease pipe had rubbed through on the chain, who knows when it last got grease!

(When a new sprocket costs over £400)

Did you cut the sprocket to get it off? Those wedge keys are buggers to get out.
We use a a piece of big pipe as a drift and sledge hammer to punch spocket further onto shaft can then get key out and pull sprocket off.

Yup, tried everything, wasn’t budging. When the key eventually came out, it was fairly corroded at the other end of it, doubt we’d have got it out without cutting it tbh. No fears for the sprocket tho, it’s pretty heavy.
