Did take many days to wilt the grass
Spout looks big on that kroneView attachment 718304 View attachment 718306 Harvested maize today. What looked like a fantastic crop in early July , but then succumbed to the drought , ended up at just under 15 tons acre. Not a disaster, but disappointing non the less. Good cobs though.
Why are you ploughing that?!Earlier this week started ploughing, tad dry and dusty

Why barley?View attachment 719282 View attachment 719286 Drilling barley after maize . Changed points on the plough , then ploughed until 4pm , then jumped on drill and caught up by 7.
Don’t want anything ploughed and not drilled with the rain forecast on Sunday
Good question . Logistics really , as always grow some barley to follow with stubble turnips on the lighter land . It’ll be wheat after the rest of the maize and after potatoes .Why barley?
Sitting waitingBit of progress yesterday
