Lovely drill, not much to go wrong that can't be fixed with a hammer.

Sod to fill with big bags though, box not big enough to take one in one place.

Mate had one back in the day with a small hopper on the end and an electric auger to take the seed up the length, worked quite well I believe
I had a friend with one of those end fill augers too, on a 4m. I'll fill it with a grain bucket, should work well, 3m at a time, if my aim is good!
I picked it up very close to you yesterday, and it worked near you too, up until 2012.
I gave it a little whirl up the field this afternoon, and it went well in conditions that would be too wet for the FreeFlow, so I might put a fair bit in with it next week.

Got a bit more wheat drilled.ploughed rock hard rape ground were volunteers had sucked the moisture out of the ground.plough was continually riding in and out leaving very unlevel ground.set of points done about 15 acres.atleast it’s drilled and no rain forecast for at least 2 weeks.

This was some of what I dealt with.was some a lot worse

Started ploughing some barley stubble.not quite as dry as previous bit and finally happy with plough having ploughed the rest of the farm in aweful conditions.only about 6 acres left to do then done ploughing till next year then about 17 acres left to drill

Spent a good part of my day trimming hedges on some ground I rent that's around a holiday complex but I have to trim all sorts of awkward bits
IMG_20181018_172602285.jpg
And some very wide bits of hedge as this needed 4 head widths with a 5ft head to cover the top.

And here they had been chucking apples into the hedge bottom from an orchard to save hitting them with their lawn mower. What a waste as would make some good Scrumpy Cider:(

Clearly they have! Must have only been for the Farming elite......:cautious:
@glasshouse told me about it the night before, I assumed all of you north of the Blackwater knew about it!
Tollesbury, Seabrooks selling up. I dug out my passport and headed to the land of milk and honey for the morning!

I thought that was last week, still missed it though.

Bit too busy doing stuff to go and kick tyres at present though and no money either (again).

Drove this back 19 miles from where I bought it, and started getting it ready.
Duals on the tractor in the morning.

You don't realise quite how bad a state the roads are in until you take something like this, with it's little transport wheels, a good distance.
I take it its a disc drill?
Is it ok?
Jealous
Mine went to romania 15 yr ago

I used to use a ton hopper on the pallet forks from each end with a sock made out of an old pair of jeans.
Grain and fert too
Have a film of it somewhere

I set it up earlier, and it worked a treat! (Haven't put any seed in it yet).
Yes, discs. They'd put new Reekie harrows on the back and fitted new dual wheel eradicator tines since they'd last used it, and there's bags of spares came with it too.
Thanks for the tip off(y)
