As farm workshops go, that's surely in the top 10% of tidiness? Heck it's got a concrete floor and you can even see some of it between the junk (Sorry, I mean "useful items").

Maybe, as I've not been in any farm workshops, but seen the outside state of a few.

I like things tidier, for example - if a socket fell and rolled into that "collection", you would be cheaper going out and buying a new full set than trying to find the origional :D

Made some progress last week on the farrowing house, ignore uneven post heights, will all be trimmed to height creating a south facing pitch in due course

What did you use to get the piles round ? Just embarking on a barn. Drilling the pads with the auger. Want the posts to sit off the ground so they don’t rot.

Petrol auger, then 6" pipe pushed down. Would have gone 8" but was offered free 6"pipe. Drilled down enough to hit clay and levelled the tops of the pipes

well mum nicked my workshop for functions so i am having to make do as well. but it is being planed at the minute but it has to do the estate as well as the farm.
I have a building that was supposed to be converted to a workshop I could get a tractor in .but it got used as a grain store. On the plus side I'm not shovelling grain bin bottoms in to augars any more.

Mixed week
20181031_212921.jpg

Finished mucking out pig sheds.
20181106_091838.jpg

Looked at the rape to see if it needed anything while the sprayers on.
20181105_171103.jpg

Sprayed some more corn, it's such a pain it gets late early this time of year.

Drilled the last field of wheat. I think that's it till the spring, I can't see us getting any beet out soon enough to drill wheat. This field ploughed up a treat 10 days ago and would have drilled on the press but because it's been so dry we ran the harrow infront to firm it up a bit.

Before the drill went back in the shed we thought we'd move this little ole gal out.

She's been in the back of the shed for atleast 7 years, put a battery on, a dozen pumps on the fuel primer, excess fuel button in and she fired up before she'd hardly turned over.

Now what to do with her. The thinking is a bit of TLC and use here around the yard as a shunter, although my mate has already said he wants to use it rolling in the spring.

Those old Zetor's are nearly to good ...............
Yep, that one came home new and was the drilling, spraying tractor then on a hedge cutter and then spent a lot of years on a straw chopper 7 days a week, start off in 540 then change up to 1000 to blow further and she's stuck it well.
We've got a 6718 that spent years running 24/7 on a generator, the fan belt broke one day and it siezed. Dad let it cool down changed the oil and away it went again and run untouched for several more years, you wouldn't get away with that in a new tractor.

@robbie
I can not fathom that, why has it been doing nothing and why did you pull it out now?
I love that kind of things but I just can't understand it. I might just have to small a shed.
We've got to much shed space. We stopped using a straw chopper and didn't have anything else for it to do so it got put in the back of the shed and kind of forgot about, where it was parked was the highest bit of the shed and more useful for the combine and drier so we fired her up to move here and then kind of realised she may be a handy old tool just to have about the place.

We're not very good at selling things when they retire they go in the shed"just in case"
