Is that a 844xl?? Any more pics of her??
Yes, it's an 844XL. Haven't got any close up pics, but here are a few I've posted before.

Another beet wagon first job this morning.
View attachment 757186

One or two stones, this is just one load:eek:!
View attachment 757188

Then nipped to the dealer for some parts to service this 3220 telehandler. After giving it a good check over had to order a load more bits so need to go back to the dealer again now:facepalm:

Go on then @Phil P educate me, are the 3200, 3215 and the 3220 all the ‘same’ machines in 3 different ranges (00, 15, 20) or 3 different models altogether?

Very tidy machine. Is she a 40k box?? There making good money now. All the tidy ones ive seen are 11k upwards!! Think ill be sticking with my 895xl for time being!
It looks better in the pics! It needs new mudguards, the bonnet painted and a hole in the cab patched. It is 40k, as far as I know all UK spec 844s are. Ours is on 520/70r34s which made it a bit quicker too. I'd no idea 844s were making so much, might have to increase the value on the insurance.

I was always told that you shouldn’t plough snow in .
Weather there’s anything in it I don’t know. I’ve done it myself everything was fine
Me too. Ive seen fields where I've ploughed snow in part of it and come back later and ploughed rest when snow gone and seen no difference in following crop.

Had intended putting some yorkshire boarding on a gable of a shed today
But
20190117_094700.jpg

Not today i don`t think
So had a look at the seat in the Jd 3800, to see why it seemed low
20190117_111641.jpg

Think maybe this is not the original seat, and that some bodgery has been committed
20190117_162553.jpg

Some of @Nearly s box section and the seat is lifted up to a usable hight and is bolted in correctly
It actually appears to be a new seat
Just not the right new seat

It’s a little bit complicated ish, 32 is the model, so they’re all the same size machines. However the 15/20 where the same series but different spec.
So, a 3200 and 3215 are pretty much identical part from the 15 got a new engine (emissions bolox!), same open centre hydraulics and 4 speed transmission though.
The 3220 was the higher spec machine (allegedly:cautious: never liked them myself) it got pfc close centre hydraulics, powershift transmission, electro hydraulic valves, more electrics on the engine, and a couple of alterations on the dash.

Probably missed a couple of bits but personally I prefer the simple 3200/3215, the 3400/15/20 where the same thing just bigger and clumsyer!

Then treated my old pickup to a spot of tlc (mot coming up:facepalm:).

4 new tyres, think I was pushing my luck with the old ones:whistle:

Though it’s been handling like a jelly for a while, found one of the anti roll bar drop links was snapped so replaced both of them.

Also treated it to some new dampers as the bottom bushes had perished.

Wouldn’t have want to change the oil filter without a ramp! It’s not in the handiest of places.

Even splashed out on a new air filter:)

Should be good for another couple of years now:ROFLMAO:

Aha, makes sense[emoji106][emoji106], alright then, what about the bendys? Was there only the 3800?

Ye only the one pivot steer, they stopped making telehandlers not long after the 38 was released:rolleyes:.
Apparently they only sold telehandlers in the UK which just wasn’t a big enough market share to continue with manufacturing and r&d:facepalm:. Personally I don’t think they needed much altering from the 3200! Maybe just slightly faster hydraulics? Other than that I don’t think they needed all the fancy electrical stuff.

I had one, for a year, the brakes were a nightmare, it had a cracked windscreen when I bought it - previous driver head-butted it, I almost did the same several times.

Just touch the brakes and the thing went over frontwards.

If the brakes where that bad it probably hadn’t had the mandatory brake valve replacement to soften them up, they where still keen even with the new valve but nothing like the originals!
